Workshop with the ManKind Project – June, 2019

We were delighted earlier this month to once again partner with the ManKind Project (MKP) and offer an introductory Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI) Training. Deep appreciation to the bold men and women came together near Seattle, WA to share their gender experience and explore new possibilities of right relations between the sexes.

In our three days together, we unveiled our stories of struggle as men and women – of confusion and challenge as we came of age and the narrow gender roles that followed, of loss and pain in our families, of sexual harassment and violation, and of the ongoing work of reclaiming the wholeness of our humanity.

The closing honoring ceremonies were beautiful and heartfelt, and left everyone uplifted by the sense of renewed possibility and re-inspirited in our commitments to continue walking forward on the path in our own lives towards a gender-healed world.

Deep gratitude to the MKP leadership and elders for their partnership and collaboration in this event. Thank you to the facilitation team – Cynthia Brix, Will Keepin, Michele Breene, Garrett Evans, and Sarah Gardam – for showing up so fully and skillfully holding the space together over the weekend.
